Frequently Asked
Questions

Straight answers on how NexID works, what a credit costs, and how to use results responsibly.

What does NexID actually search?

NexID runs a reverse face search across publicly accessible pages. You upload a face photo and get ranked matches with sources when available — profiles, accounts, and other public appearances.

Do you scan private messages or locked accounts?

No. NexID is designed around public-web visibility. Private inboxes, private groups, and closed accounts are outside the product scope.

How should I use a match result?

Treat every match as a lead first. Confirm context, open the source yourself, and then decide whether to dig deeper, report misuse, or request removal.

Is this for finding strangers?

NexID is a public-web face search tool. Use it only for lawful purposes — for example checking your own footprint, verifying someone you have a legitimate reason to check, or investigating suspected scams. Do not use it to harass, stalk, or invade someone’s privacy.

How much does a search cost?

Each face search costs 1 credit. Credits are sold as one-time packs (no subscription). Packs currently start at $7.99 for 3 searches on a limited offer (was $9.99).

How often should I run checks?

For most people, a monthly deep check plus quick spot checks after new photo uploads is a practical routine.

What if I find an impersonation account?

Capture the page URL, profile handle, and timestamp first. Then file a platform report and keep a record of each response cycle.

Can I use NexID without publishing a public profile?

Yes. You can run scans without creating a public-facing identity card.

Where can I read policy and legal details?

Still have questions about policy?
